And once again...shortlisted for 'Best Website'!!

More good news - we found out this week that we have been shortlisted for the Visit Chester & Cheshire 'Best Tourism Website' Award for 2007.  Thanks are due to the marketing team - Mark Ogilvie (Ogilvie Marketing), Felix Clarke (Promote), and Andrew Hunter (AML Ltd), who put together a great website and advertising programme.

But it's only as good as people think it is - so if there's anything you'd like to see changed or added, do let me know.

Busy Easter - and Great Weather!

We have really got into running the Bed and Breakfast now, and we have had a very busy few weeks over the Easter holidays.  As usual, the guests have been lovely, and everybody seems to have had a great time (see visitor's comments!).  We were pursuaded to enter the Visit Chester and Cheshire Annual Awards for the Best B&B, so the application form went in last week, and we will find out if we have been short listed next week - fingers crossed.  Kids Corner  has been very busy, and it's so nice to see that people have reverted back to buying good quality outdoor toys for their children.   Stockton and Stratton is growing from strength to strength, and now that the B-B-Q weather has come upon us, I think that Jim will be very busy making sausages and burgers for all who want them!  We look forward to seeing you all soon, whether it's to come and stay with us, or buy some garden play equipment for your children, or even to put something really delicious on your B-B-Q!

Your Accommodation!

Hi Vanessa,
Just returned from the tour of North Wales!
I wanted to let you know that yours is quite the nicest accommodation we stayed in not only for this trip but in recent times and we have stayed in quite a few different B & B's I can assure you!
Anyway, it was lovely to meet you and the family on the 12th (and the pigs) and to stay in your lovely home, we hope to see you again some time but wish you all a successful 2007.
Kind regards,
Andrew

Spring Might be on its Way!

Yesterday really felt like spring, and all the bulbs are coming out in the garden, but today of course, we had more rain!!  Jim is very busy on the farm, it's calving time, which means life is sometimes a little stressful!  The Butcher's shop is nearly finished, and we are selling a lot of meat by mail order now, which is great (see www.stocktonandstratton.co.uk).  Kids Corner(www.kidscorneronline.co.uk) has started it's spring campaign, and people are already looking to buy play equipment for their children for the summer.  Mostly importantly, the Bed and Breakfast is starting to get very busy again, and I am really enjoying it!  We have had such lovely people to stay (and long may that continue), and we are looking forwards very much to a busy year.  I have been pursuaded to enter Churton Heath Farm Bed and Breakfast in the Visit Chester and Cheshire Best Bed and Breakfast category, which should be very interesting!!
