A busy August!

We came back from a lovely holiday in Anglesey during the last two weeks of July (we had 10 lovely days of glorious weather), to a very busy August with guests coming and going pretty much every day, which has been great (although somewhat a little hectic).  We have also had a great number of customers coming to look at the play equipment, which has been great.  There's no need to tell you about the weather, it really has been very depressing, and we are way behind on the farm.  Jim is very much wanting to get the harvest in, and start ploughing the fields, but we will have to wait and see!!  The boys have had a great summer holiday, and are just finishing a week's rugby course, which they have really enjoyed.  I can't believe that they go back to school in 10 days, the year seems to be flying by!!   We've still got our midweek 3 for 2 offer on, so why not take it up and come and stay at Churton Heath Farm, we would love to welcome you!!  Hope to see you soon.

A Busy May and June

The Bed and Breakfast has been steadily busy over the past few months, and we are always amazed at how far people travel to come and stay at Churton Heath Farm.  Chester Races was very hectic, with Jim and I actually going racing ourselves this year, which made a nice change.  Quite a few people have taken up the Midweek Special, which has meant that they have actually seen more of the area than they had originally planned, and a lot of guests have visited some of the lovely gardens that are open for the "Year of the Garden 2008".  All we need now is a bit more sunshine!  We hope to welcome you to Churton Heath Farm in the not too distant future!

The Sun is finally shining!

It is a glorious morning this morning and everywhere is beginning to show its true colours.  Anyway just to let you know that those two nights for Chester Races next week have gone.  Those of you that are going racing, I am sure that you will have a lovely time, and for those that are not - enjoy the sunshine!

What a Change in the  Weather!

It's amazing - the last time I wrote in the news page, the sun had been shining all week, and I think that was the last time it shone!  Never mind, it can only get better!  Life at Churton Heath Farm is picking up momentum.  Jim's very busy with the Stockton and Stratton meat, it seems to be coming very popular, which is great.  Unfortunately the cattle are still inside, as we can't get them on to the fields because they are still too wet, which means we have to buy silage in to feed them at the  moment -  not great!  Kids Corner has been busy, which is good- people seem to know when they want to buy a decent product - which is marvellous, and lastly the Bed and Breakfast has been busy, and we have welcomed lots of lovely and interesting guests into the house.  Anyway let's pray we get some sunshine for Chester races (in two weeks - we still have one room available for the nights of 7th and 8th May, if you're interested in going!), and once again we very much look forward to meeting you soon if you're planning a trip to Churton Heath Farm.

The Weather has been Wonderful!

Doesn't it make a huge difference when the sun shines, and this week has been amazing!  The only downside being that everything in the garden is starting to grow and needs attention!!  The kitchen is finished, and we are thrilled with it - I don't think it caused too much of a disruption to our guests while it was being altered!!  Life is generally pretty busy and we are really looking forward to welcoming all our guests to Churton Heath Farm Bed and Breakfast over the next few months - so come and stay with us and sample the delights that we have to offer you for a relaxing stay!
