]]>What a Change in the Weather!http://www.churtonheathfarm.co.uk/news-and-events/2008/4/20/what-a-change-in-the-weather.htmlVanessa Stratton2008-04-20T12:58:54ZIt's amazing - the last time I wrote in the news page, the sun had been shining all week, and I think that was the last time it shone!  Never mind, it can only get better!  Life at Churton Heath Farm is picking up momentum.  Jim's very busy with the Stockton and Stratton meat, it seems to be coming very popular, which is great.  Unfortunately the cattle are still inside, as we can't get them on to the fields because they are still too wet, which means we have to buy silage in to feed them at the  moment -  not great!  Kids Corner has been busy, which is good- people seem to know when they want to buy a decent product - which is marvellous, and lastly the Bed and Breakfast has been busy, and we have welcomed lots of lovely and interesting guests into the house.  Anyway let's pray we get some sunshine for Chester races (in two weeks - we still have one room available for the nights of 7th and 8th May, if you're interested in going!), and once again we very much look forward to meeting you soon if you're planning a trip to Churton Heath Farm.

]]>The Weather has been Wonderful!http://www.churtonheathfarm.co.uk/news-and-events/2008/2/13/the-weather-has-been-wonderful.htmlVanessa Stratton2008-02-13T21:20:21ZDoesn't it make a huge difference when the sun shines, and this week has been amazing!  The only downside being that everything in the garden is starting to grow and needs attention!!  The kitchen is finished, and we are thrilled with it - I don't think it caused too much of a disruption to our guests while it was being altered!!  Life is generally pretty busy and we are really looking forward to welcoming all our guests to Churton Heath Farm Bed and Breakfast over the next few months - so come and stay with us and sample the delights that we have to offer you for a relaxing stay!

]]>England's Northwest Tourism Awards 2007http://www.churtonheathfarm.co.uk/news-and-events/englands-northwest-tourism-awards-2007.htmlVanessa Stratton2007-09-26T13:43:26ZWe are in the final for the Best Bed and Breakfast in the North West Tourism Awards, which takes place on 10th October in Manchester.  As we have already been "mystery shopped" and I was not really aware of who they were (although I have my suspicions!), all will be in the hands of the Gods!  I think we are  in the final four in this category, so fingers (and everything else!) crossed!!  We have had a busy first year, and have made one or two small improvements to the rooms, adding small fridges (so that you can cool your own wine!), and also some super new bathroom products called REN, which are absoluately wonderful (all chemical free!).  Win or not on the 10th, I still feel that we offer our guests something which I hope is second to none!!

]]>Summer's Passing by too Quickly!http://www.churtonheathfarm.co.uk/news-and-events/summers-passing-by-too-quickly.htmlVanessa Stratton2007-08-20T18:25:57ZI can't believe that it is nearly a year since we opened, and we certainly have been busy!!  It's been great, hard work, but very rewarding.  We as a family have just returned from a fortnight in Anglesey (weather very mixed), mind you, you don't go on holiday in England in search of good weather!!  The boys have had a lovely time, and Treacle and Biscuit enjoyed swimming in the sea!  I can honestly say that my first year of running a Bed and Breakfast has been great fun and very rewarding!  We look forward to meeting you all soon.
